Lagos, Nov. 8, 2016 (NAN) The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), said it had received a total of 68 complaints from domestic and international air passengers in the third quarter of 2016.

This is contained in a document issued by the NCAA’s Consumer Protection Department, which was obtained by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Lagos.

It said 47 complaints were received from passengers flying international routes while 21 were received from passengers on domestic routes.

According to the document, Arik Air recorded the highest number of complaints with 14 cases, followed by Royal Air Marco and Turkish Air, which recorded 4 and 3 complaints respectively.

It said 37 of such cases were successfully resolved with compensation paid by airlines to the affected passengers during the period under review.

Mr Sam Adurogboye, General Manager, Public Relations, NCAA, later told NAN that the regulatory agency was committed to protecting the rights of passengers in line with its mandate. (NAN)
