National common entrance examination: KNSG suspends monthly sanitation

Kano, July 29 , 2017 (NAN) Kano State government has suspended  the monthly environmental sanitation for July to enable parents take their children for the national common entrance examination.

The Commissioner for Environment, Dr Ali Makoda, who made the announcement in Kano on Saturday, said the examination was vital.

He however stated that despite the suspension, residents should ensure they clean their homes and surroundings.

Makoda explained that the government considered sanitation a priority and urged the residents to imbibe sanitation culture as part of their daily lives.

He appealed to self help groups to assist communities in clearing their drains before calling the authorities to evacuate their waste. (NAN)
