Kana, who represents Kokona West constituency, said that the timely distribution of fertilisers and other inputs at affordable rate to farmers would boost food production, fight poverty and unemployment, and raise economic activities.

“Farmers need tractors, fertilisers, seeds, among other farming inputs, to improve agricultural production. We must see this matter as very urgent and ensure it is so treated,” he said.

Ruling on the matter, the Speaker, Alhaji Ibrahim Balarabe-Abdullahi, commended Gov. Tanko Al-Makura for  efforts toward a viable agricultural sector which had impacted positively on the lives of farmers and the masses.
