Nasarawa Govt commences renovation of School of Health in Keffi

Keffi (Nasarawa State), June 20, 2017 (NAN) The Nasarawa State Government has commenced the renovation of the School of Health Technology, Keffi, to create an enabling environment for learning and teaching.

Dr Daniel Iya, the State Commissioner for Health, while inspecting the renovation work on Tuesday, said that the state government was committed to providing qualitative healthcare delivery.

Iya also said that the state government would provide equipment and learning materials for the institution to enhance learning process.

“The visit is to assess the level of work and to know the area that needs adjustment as this government believes in quality work.

“We want to create an enabling environment for teaching and learning.

“Everybody is aware of what this government has done in the area of health and other sectors which have impacted positively on the lives of people of the state,” he said.

According to him, the intention is to update the knowledge of students in modern practical aspect of health.

The commissioner said that the government had entered into partnership with the international health institutions with a view to improving and strengthening the manpower capacity need of the school.

He urged the students to take their studies seriously to justify their parents’ and government’s huge investment in their education.

The school Sole Administrator, Alhaji Suleiman Mohammed, commended Gov.Tanko Al-makura for giving priority attention to healthcare and other programmes that have direct bearing on the lives of the people. (NAN)
