Enugu, March 27, 2018 (NAN) The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday received an award of excellence for its outstanding coverage of the just concluded 29th Enugu International Trade Fair.
The Vice President, Trade Fair of the Enugu Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (ECCIMA), Mr Jasper Nduagwuike presented the award in Enugu during the closing ceremony of the fair.
Nduagwuike described NAN as the `best wire service media’ with very efficient and extensive reach.
He said that the chamber appreciated the sacrifices made by all participants at the fair and pointed out that the agency’s coverage was outstanding.
The vice president said that ECCIMA would continue to guarantee improved facilities in the conduct of trade fairs and pledged that the 30th edition of the fair would be grand.
Nduagwuike said that the chamber appreciated the sacrifices made by all participants and exhibitors and would build on such partnership.
Earlier, the President of the chamber, Mr Emeka Udeze, said that they appreciated the participants for their efforts in spite of the economic challenges.
Udeze said that the council was appreciative of the roles played by all security agencies that were deployed to cover the event.
“Let me use this opportunity to congratulate the award winners for their outstanding performance and conduct during the fair,” Udeze said.
NAN reports that 24 organisations were presented with award of excellence at the end of the event.
Ebonyi State won the award for ‘Best Packaged Investment Information’ while Abia won ‘The Most Enterprising Pavilion and Most Progressive SME Participating State’. (NAN)
