Compliance

Kano May 26 2018 (NAN) Kano State Government has appealed to security agencies to assist in strengthening enforcement on compliance with the monthly sanitation exercise.
The Commissioner for Environment, Dr Ali Makoda, made the appeal on Saturday while monitoring the exercise in Kano.
Makoda said there was laxity in the compliance with the exercise due to the absence of security personnel in many places in the Kano metropolis.
The Commissioner, who is also the Chairman of the Monthly Environmental Sanitation Committee, said: “People should know that sanitation is vital especially with the coming of the rainy season”.
” Residents should constantly and frequently clean their environment to forestall flooding and prevent rodents from breeding.
“I , however, commend the efforts of self help groups in many parts of the state for embarking on clearing of drains ahead of the rainy season,” Makoda said. (NAN)
