Man remanded over alleged robbery, trespass

Abuja, July 18, 2018 (NAN) A Gudu Upper Area Court, Abuja, on Wednesday ordered the remand of 37-year-old man, Azubike Oti, over alleged robbery and trespass.
Oti of Karmo, Abuja, with four others at large, is facing a three-count charge of criminal conspiracy, criminal trespass and robbery.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to the offences.
The judge, Bello Rufai, ordered that the defendant be remanded in prison and adjourned the case until Aug.21 for hearing.
Earlier, the prosecutor, Insp. Fidelix Abah, told the court that the accused committed the alleged offences on Dec.12, 2017, behind Mouka Foam Depot, Gwagwa, Abuja.
Abah said that Oti trespassed into the house of one Mr Calistus Nwoji and robbed him of N1.35m.
The prosecutor said the offences contravened Sections 97, 227 and 298(a) of the Penal Code. (NAN)
