Kaduna, June 27.2018(NAN) Two neighbors Abdu Nagamji and Waziri Saje, were on Wednesday, arraigned before a Sharia court sitting at Magajin Gari, Kaduna for alleged connivance and defamation charges.
The 60- year- old complainant, Abdullahi Namunana, told the court that the defendants were not his best of neigbours, but enemies who allegedly connived to cause pain to his family members.
Namunana told the court that the defendants allegedly framed his son of allegation of illegal possession of gun, which led to his arrest by the police.
“They came with the police to arrest and imprisoned my son but was later released after investigation proved him innocent”, he said.
Namunana alleged that the neighbors also connived with some miscreants to destroy some of his belongings causing him losses.
He urged the court to intervene in the matter and compel the defendants to pay him damages.
But the defendants denied all the allegations.
The judge, Musa Sa’ad, before adjournment of the case to July 10, asked the complainant if he had witnesses to corroborate his claim, to which he answered in the affirmative.
Sa’ad adjourned the case to enable the complainant present his withnesses and ordered the remand of the defendants. (NAN)
