Lagos, Jan. 10, 2018 (NAN) A 36-year-old commercial motorcyclist, Anthony Kadri, who allegedly absconded with a motorcycle he bought on hire purchase for N215, 000, was on Wednesday brought before an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court.
Kadri, who resides at No. 5, Oju-Odo Bus Stop, Aboru Road, Lagos, is facing a two-count charge bordering on stealing.
The Prosecutor, Police Insp. Victor Eruada told the court that the accused committed the offences sometime in September 2017 at Aboru area of Iyana-Ipaja, a Lagos Suburb.
He said the accused stole a motorcycle with registration no. DED 465 UQ, property of the complainant, Isinaego Awele, after he had entered into an agreement to buy the motorcycle on hire purchase.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the section stipulates seven years jail term for offenders.
Kadri, however, entered a plea of `not guilty’.
The Magistrate, Mrs G. O. Anifowoshe, granted him bail in the sum of N50, 000 with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case until Jan. 15 for mention. (NAN)
