Lufthansa appoints new sales’ helmsman for Africa, others

Abuja, April 26, 2017 (NAN) Lufthansa Airlines has appointed Dr Stefan Kreuzpaintner as Vice President, Sales for Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA Region) effective from May 1.
A statement by Lufthansa’s Communication Manager in Nigeria, Mr Hakeem Jimo, on Wednesday, said Kreuzpaintner would also steer integrated sales organisation for all Lufthansa Group Airlines in the region.
Jimo said that prior to joining Lufthansa, Kreuzpaintner completed a training programme with Commerzbank and then enrolled in the University of Maastricht in International Management.
According to Jimo, the new helmsman started his career with Lufthansa in Frankfurt as a Network Manager for Africa and the Middle East in 2003.
“Stefan Kreuzpaintner will be based in Frankfurt and manage the recently merged areas of Europe and Middle East/Africa for the Group’s premium airlines Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa and SWISS.
“Kreuzpaintner will represent Brussels Airlines in many markets as well as support the sales activities of Eurowings.
“Kreuzpaintner will report to his predecessor, Heike Birlenbach, Senior Vice President, Sales Lufthansa Hub Airlines and Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) Hub Frankfurt.’’ (NAN)
