Abuja, July 17, 2017 (NAN) The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted localised thunderstorms over the Central States of Abuja, Minna and Mambilla Plateau axis on Tuesday morning.
NiMet’s Weather Outlook by its Central Forecast Office on Monday in Abuja also predicted isolated thunderstorms over the central cities in the afternoon and evening hours.
It added that the region would have day and night temperatures in the range of 30 degrees Celsius to 34 degrees Celsius and 22 degrees Celsius to 26 degrees Celsius, respectively.
The agency predicted that the southern states would experience cloudy morning over Benin, Asaba, Warri and southeast coast with day and night temperatures of 32 degrees Celsius to 28 degrees Celsius and 24 degrees Celsius and to degrees Celsius respectively.
It also predicted prospects of localised thunderstorms over the region with rain showers over southeast coast in the afternoon and evening hours.
According to NiMet, northern states will experience localised morning thunderstorms over Gusau, Maiduguri, Kano, Sokoto and Yelwa and over Nguru, Kano, Potiskum, Katsina and Gusau in the afternoon and evening hours.
“Northern states will also have day and night temperatures of 38 degrees Celsius to 32 degrees Celsius and 25 degrees Celsius and 21 degrees Celsius, respectively. (NAN)
