Ibadan, May 2, 2018(NAN) Dr Gbade Ojo, the Chief of Staff to Gov. Abiola Ajimobi, says  the legacies of  the late Speaker of Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Michael Adeyemo, will  be sustained.

He gave the assurance on Wednesday while receiving a delegation of  the Sports Writers’ Association of Nigeria(SWAN) which  paid him a condolence visit over Adeyemo’s demise.

The News Agency of Nigeria(NAN) reports that the delegation was led by Mr Adeboye Ajayi, the Vice-President, South-West Zone of  SWAN.

NAN reports that the late Speaker, who died on Friday, was a patron of SWAN in the state.

Ojo, who is also a patron of the association,  said Adeyemo  was a stabilising factor to the present administration in the state.

“Adeyemo was during his lifetime  a patriotic, diligent, hardworking and committed young man  who contributed immensely to the development of the state and the people,” he said.

Hon.  Kehinde Subair, the Majority Leader of the State Assembly,  who also received  the SWAN delegation on behalf of the lawmakers, described Adeyemo’s death as a great loss.

Subair pledged that the late speaker’s legacies would be sustained, promising that they would fill the gap he left behind.

Ajayi, on his part,  said that the association received the news of Adeyemo’s death with  shock, adding that he would be missed.

He prayed  God to give the family the fortitude to bear the  loss.

Mr Niyi Alebiosu, the SWAN Chairman in  Oyo State,  said the late Speaker had so much love for sports, stressing that  sponsored several tournaments.
