Abuja, Feb. 13, 2018 (NAN) A Karmo Grade1 Area Court, Abuja, on Tuesday sentenced a 27-year-old labourer, Surago Sani, to five months imprisonment  for criminal trespass.

Sani, who resides in Delta Line Park, Jabi, was sentenced after he pleaded guilty to charges bordering on criminal trespass and theft, and begged the court for leniency.

The judge, Abubakar Sadiq, warned the convict to desist from committing crime in future.
Earlier, the prosecutor, Mrs Florence Auhioboh, had told the court that one Chinago Alozie of Mararaba in Nassrawa State arrested and brought the convict to the Utako Police Station on Feb. 1.
Auhioboh said Sani entered into the Office of Women Empowerment for Change, Utako, and made away with glass aluminum window, electric cooker and other valuables without the consent of the owner.
The prosecutor said that Sani made confessional statement during investigation and the items were recovered from him.

The offences contravened Sections, 342 and 288 of the Penal Code. (NAN)
