Abuja, Feb. 8, 2018 (NAN) Stormi, Kylie Jenner’s new baby daughter, officially stars in Instagram’s most liked photo to date.
Holding the new record, the photograph has amassed almost 15 million likes and over 670,000 comments.
Kylie’s baby announcement has broken Beyonce’s Instagram record of 11.2 million likes set in Februray 2017 following her pregnancy announcement by becoming the most-liked picture ever on the site.
The Reality star has now stolen the title with the announcement of her baby girl Stormi’s name, according to London Evening Standard.
The adorable snap, which shows new born Stormi holding mother Jenner’s thumb, has now gained the most likes out of all the posts on the social media site.
The photo, which Kylie posted to her account less than a day ago, features her daughter’s fingers wrapped around her thumb.
She captioned the photo, “stormi webster,” thus revealing the much-anticipated baby name. (Webster is the real last name of Stormi’s father and Jenner’s boyfriend, Travis Scott.)
The photo gathered more than 13.7 million likes, making it the most popular photo on the platform. Beyoncé previously held the record for most likes on a photo when she announced she was having twins in early 2017. Bey’s photo brought in a cool 11.2 million.
In a statement to Variety magazine, a representative for Instagram said: “More and More we’re seeing the world’s most influential public figures turn to Instagram to share their most intimate and personal moments and in turn, bring Instagram’s global community in on the joy and celebration.”
On Sunday, the 20-year-old welcomed the birth of her baby girl, taking to social media to share the news.
Kylie in a twitter post had apologise for keeping her fans “in the dark through all the assumption.”
She wrote: “I’m sorry for keeping you in the dark through all the assumptions. I understand you’re used to me bringing you along on all journeys.
“My pregnancy was one I chose not to do in front of the world. I knew for myself I needed to prepare for this role of a lifetime in the most positive, stress free and healthy way I knew how.
“There was no gotcha moment, no big paid reveal I had planned. I knew my baby would feel stress and every emotion so I chose to do it this way for my little life and our happiness”.
“The model went to add that pregnancy has been the most “beautiful, empowering and life-changing experience”.
