Ilorin, July 16, 2018 (NAN) The Kwara Government on Monday said that plans have been concluded to partner with the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and the Education Trust Fund (ETF) on the development and upgrade of Kwara Football Academy (KFA).
The state Commissioner for Sports and Youth Development, Muyideen Alalade, disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ilorin.
He said that while there was an already ongoing discussion with ETF to upgrade the pitches and other facilities that would restore the old glory of the academy, proposals had also been submitted to JAMB.
The commissioner, who said that the academy had suffered retardation in recent years, noted that the time had come for it to receive a face-lift.
He explained that JAMB had been asked to renovate the hostels and classrooms for the students.
Alalade said that the academy, which had produced players for various club sides, would not be abandoned. (NAN)
