Kano, Jan. 23, 2018 (NAN) The Kano State Hisbah Board said it received 35 cases from Jan. 1 till date.
Malam Umar Yahaya , Public Relations Officer of the board, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kano on Tuesday that the cases received had to do with prostitution, matrimonial disputes and quarrels between neighbours.
“The disputes relate to debts, disagreements among neighbours, prostitution, breastfeeding as well as consumption of alcohol, among others,” he said.
Yahaya said that the board was committed to its mandate of ridding the society of social ills, adding that efforts would be intensified to restore moral sanity in the state.
He then urged members of the public to support the efforts of the board at ensuring a better society. (NAN)
