Ringim (Jigawa), July 23, 2018 (NAN) Sheik Bala Lau, National Chairman, Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’a Wa’iqamatis Sunnah(JIBWIS), says the Jigawa State Government has donated 65 hectares of land to the association in Hadejia for a private university.
Lau, disclosed this on Monday at the official launch of Save the Ram Initiative (SRI), introduced by Save the Ram Limited in collaboration with the JIBWIS at the Wadugur village, in Ringim.
He said the university would be established in Hadejia, headquarters of Hadejia Local Government Area (LGA), of the state, adding that the association decided to build the university in the state because of its peaceful nature.
“I want to use this opportunity to commend the state government for donating 65 hectares of land to JIWIS for a private university.
“And today we are going to collect the document from the Emir of Hadejia on behalf of the state government.
“After collecting it then we will set up an implementation committee which will come up with the amount to be expended on building the university.
“The committee will also come up with courses to be offered by the university, among other things,” he said.
The national chairman pointed out that siting the university in Jigawa would attract patronage from other states, particularly Northern states because of its location.(NAN)
