Dutse, Jan. 15, 2018 (NAN) The Commissioner of Police (CP) in Jigawa, Mr Bala Zama, has urged officers and men of the command to constantly raid black spots and criminal hideouts in the state
to improve security.

The command’s Spokesman, SP Abdu Jinjiri, made this known in a statement in Dutse on Monday.

He said the commissioner made the call when he personally visited Dutse Division last Saturday at night, together with the management team of the command to check and brief officers and men on parade and posting for night weekend patrol.

He noted that the CP, who said he was impressed with the large turnout of officers at the briefing, quoted Zama as saying “officers and men of the command should always act professionally in the discharge of their responsibilities.

“I urge you to constantly raid black spots and criminal hideouts to make the state safer and comfortable for the people and make it hot for criminals.”

He added that the CP also urged the public not to panic because of the number of policemen on
streets patrol.

The police chief also went round the state capital on patrol to ensure compliance with his directives of weekend night patrol. (NAN)
