By Bashir Muhammad Nasir
Dutse, Dec. 15, 2016 (NAN) The Jigawa Government on Thursday said it would spend N168 million to construct 60 blocks of classroom to serve as Islamiyya schools across the state.
Dr Yakubu Abbas, the Executive Secretary, Jigawa State Islamic Bureau, disclosed this while fielding questions from newsmen in Dutse.
Abbas said two blocks of classroom would be constructed in each of the 30 constituencies in the state.
He explained that the gesture would enhance the access to quality Islamic education among rural children in the state.
The executive secretary added that it was also to encourage the children to acquire Islamic education at young age.
According to him, “The education would make the children good citizens, productive and excellent leaders of tomorrow”.
Abbas, therefore, urged parents to send their children to Islamiyya schools to learn more about their religion, emphasising that it would be a guide for them in the present world.
This, he added, would also save them from the punishment of hell fire in the hereafter. (NAN)
