Instil discipline in your wards, Gov. Ganduje urges parents

Kano, May 28, 2018 (NAN) Gov. Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State has advised parents to instil discipline in their children and wards, to enable them become better leaders.
Ganduje gave the advice on Monday in Kano during the 2018 International Children’s Day Celebration at the Government House, Kano.
He said that his administration was resolute in providing security, health care and education for the children.
The governor said: “This administration is committed to children’s education and their overall well-being, because they are the legacy of Kano’’.
Ganduje also added that the government was committed to ensuring the elimination of childhood killer diseases as well as reduce maternal mortality rate in the state.
Earlier, the State Commissioner for Women Affairs, Hajiya Yardada Bichi, commended the state governor for efforts made at empowering women and providing qualitative education for the children in the state.
The speaker of the National Children’s Parliarment, Hon. Maisara Abdulkadir, commended the governor and his wife for their roles in supporting less privileged children in the state.
He also thanked the social and child welfare department in the state for supporting the vulnerable children.
The governor also distributed gifts of noodles and writing materials to the children present at the occasion.(NAN )
