India Alumni Association moves to tackle unemployment in Nigeria

Abuja, May 15, 2018 (NAN) The All India Universities Alumni Association in Nigeria says it is collaborating with the India High Commission to tackle unemployment in the country.
The President of the Association, Mr Charles Robin-Njoku told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in an interview on Tuesday in Abuja.
Robin Njoku said the move by the association to look into the problem of unemployment was part of its contribution to the contemporary Nigeria issues and a broad spectrum on Indo-Nigeria relations.
He said as part of activities to mark the cultural relations between Nigeria and India, the association was planning to hold one day workshop on May 16th in Abuja.
“The workshop will have the theme: “Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME): India experience.”
“A high level panelist comprising of officials from India High Commission, former Nigeria High Commissioner to India, Amb, Ndubuisi Amaku would be on hand to engage and interact with members of the association.
According to Robin-Njoku, the association comprises of all Nigerians who had acquired tertiary knowledge in various India reputable and recognised universities over a period of time.
He said the association was founded in 1987/88 with the primary aims and objectives to stimulate growth and development of Nigeria through the common experience in India.
It also aims to promote a forum for social and cultural interactions with other associations with similar objectives. (NAN)
