Ikhana blames fatigue for Kano Pillars’ home draw with Nasarawa United

Kano, March 29, 2017 (NAN) ‎The Technical Adviser of Kano Pillars Football Club, Kadiri Ikhana, says fatigue was responsible for his side’s 1-1 draw with visiting Nasarawa United FC of Lafia on Wednesday.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the draw was in a 2016/2017 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Match Day 16 fixture played at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano.

Ikhana, while speaking after the match, said fatigue had a big impact on the result they got friom the match.‎

“The match was not a bad game. We only paid the price for playing three matches in a week.‎

“I must give kudos to my players because this is their third match in a week. They put in their best but it was not enough to pick three points,” he said.

Coach Kabiru Dogo of Nasarawa United commended his team for their fighting spirit.

He said that the team would continue to work hard to win other matches.

NAN reports that Mubarak Sa’eed scored for Kano Pillars in the 10th minute, while former Kano Pillars winger Alhassan Adamu equalised for the visitors in the 58th minute‎.(NAN)
