Ilorin, Sept. 23, 2016 (NAN) The Nigerian Association of Hydrogeologists, Kwara Chapter, has expressed its willingness to partner Kwara Government towards increasing access to safe drinking water across the state.
The Chairman of the association, Mr Lateef Kolawole stated this on Friday while speaking with newsmen in Ilorin.
According to him, the association will continue to work with the government towards expanding opportunities and investments in water-related services.
“Members of the association are ready to partner the state government in increasing access to safe drinking water across the state,” he said.
Kolawole expressed the support of the union for the aggressive revenue generation drive of the state government.
“Members of this association shall continue to pay their taxes as it is their civic responsibility”, he said.
He, however, appealed to the state government to assist the association in ensuring that only competent and registered professionals were allowed to operate in the state.
The chairman alleged that quacks have taken over the profession in the state. (NAN)
