Hajj: Max Air set for return airlift

Kano, Sept. 8, 2017 (NAN) Max Air Limited says it is ready to commence the airlift of pilgrims back to Nigeria on Saturday.
This is contained in a statement by the Airline’s Public Relations Manager, Alhaji Ibrahim Dahiru, and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kano on Friday.
“The airline will start airlifting pilgrims from Katsina, Sokoto and Zamfara states which would be followed by other states like Kwara, Kaduna, Kano, Kogi and Kebbi’’ according to the schedule, he said.
Dahiru said the airline would deploy three Boeing 747-400 series with the capacity of over 500 passengers each for return journey of the Nigerian pilgrims.
“The Airline transported pilgrims from Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Kaduna, Jigawa, Plateau, Kwara, Benue, Sokoto, Rivers and Zamfara states for the 2017 Hajj.
“Similarly, the Airline did some rescue operations in Bauchi and Kogi states as well as some pilgrims belonging to the Tour operators,” the Airline’s spokesman said.
NAN recalls that the airline transported about 35,000 Nigerian pilgrims to Saudi Arabia in about 70 flights for the 2017 Hajj. (NAN)
