Dutse, Dec. 29, 2016 (NAN) Gov. Muhammad Badaru of Jigawa has approved the appointment of Ibrahim Guri as Permanent Secretary, Ministry for Local Governments.
A statement issued in Dutse on Thursday by Alhaji Isma’il Ibrahim, the Public Relations Officer, Office of Head of the State Civil Service, indicated that the appointment would take effect from January 2, 2017.
“Until his appointment, Guri was the Acting Auditor General, Local Government Audit Directorate.
“The appointment of the new permanent secretary to serve the state government in this capacity is purely on merit, competency and personal integrity,” it added.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that the governor had in December 2015, approved the retirement of 14 permanent secretaries in the state. (NAN)
