Keffi (Nasarawa State) Feb. 23, 2017 (NAN) Mr Monday Nanza, a former Sole Administrator of Akun Development Area of Nasarawa State, has appealed to religious leaders and Nigerians to offer special prayer for the speedy recovery of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Nanza made the appeal on Thursday in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria, (NAN) in Keffi.

He stressed the need for Nigerians to pray for Buhari’s good health to enable him return and continue to discharge his responsibilities for the development of the country.

“Prayer is key to the success of every individual and government, hence the need for Nigerians to continue to pray for the President’s good health.

“As a stakeholder and a politician, our duty is to advise Nigerians on the need to live in peace and tolerate one another, irrespective of ethnic, religion and political affiliations for the overall development of the country.

“This is because no nation or society can achieve any meaningful development in an atmosphere of rancour and confusion, hence the need for Nigerians to be their brothers’ keeper.

“I want to use this medium to appeal to Nigerians to continue to pray for the speedy recovery of President Buhari so that he can return and continue to discharge his duties for the development of the country.

“Nigerians should also pray for the economic prosperity of the country, “Nanza said.

Nanza charged Nigerians to pray for other leaders, saying the President, governors, National Assembly members and every other leader needed our prayer to pilot the affairs of the nation for greater development.

He also urged Nigerians, especially the youths, to be law abiding, remain peaceful and respect constituted authorities in the interest of peace and national development. (NAN)
