Benin, July 11, 2018 (NAN) Edo Government has assured that it will partner with private organisations in reviving school principal cup and other sporting activities in the state.
The Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu, gave the assurance on Wednesday in Benin while he played host to the leadership of Hideaplus Itel, led by the Chief Executive Officer of the organisation, Tony Pemu.
Pemu was on a courtesy visit to the Government House, Benin.
The deputy governor, who commended the initiative of the organisation, assured that the state government was ready to provide the facilities for sports to strive in the state.
He also said that the state government was more interested in combining sports with education among youths.
Speaking earlier, Pemu said that part of the proposal by the organisation was to expose the tournament to the international media.
He assured that he would bring more innovations to ensure continued discovery and development of talents during the competition.
Pemu, however, appealed to the state government and other philanthropists for support the organisation in the sponsorship of the principal cup competition. (NAN)
