Ikeja, July 16, 2018 (NAN) Two men, who allegedly stole their  employer’s goods valued at N5 million, on Monday appeared in an
Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court.

The accused, Kazeem Tijani, 30, a driver and Christian Usuwa, 49, an agent; both resident of Ikorodu, a suburb of Lagos, are
being tried for conspiracy, stealing and fraud.

The offences were committed on Nov. 20, 2017 at Korigo Logistics & Global Service Ltd at Aguda, Ogba in Ikeja area, according to
Police Prosecutor Raji Akeem.

Akeem said a truck loaded with Ribena and Lucozade boost drink valued at N5 million were given to the duo by the company to
deliver to a customer in Bayelsa but they diverted the goods to somewhere else.

“Since then all efforts to locate them proved abortive.

“Not until sometime in July  that the police got information of their whereabouts and were arrested.”

The offences contravened Sections 287, 344 and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

The duo, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Chief Magistrate Jadesola Adeyemi-Ajayi granted the accused  bail of N100,000 each with two sureties each in like sum.

She adjourned the case until Aug. 13 for mention. (NAN)
