‎Paiko, (Niger), Nov. 24, 2017 (NAN) SP Garba Yusuf, Divisional Police Officer in charge of Paikoro, has urged traditional rulers in the Local Government Area of Niger to collaborate with security agents ‎to save lives and property in the area.

He gave the advice in Paiko‎ on Friday in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

“Traditional leaders and their subjects know criminals in their areas, hence the need for useful information to help fish them out.

“The police, as an organisation, are saddled with the responsibility of ensuring the safety of the people.

‘‘There is the need for dishing out of vital information from members of the public to police, for better service delivery,” he said.

He said that the success recorded in the various divisional offices he served was due to the support and cooperation from traditional leaders and their subjects.
‎
Yusuf also called on religious leaders in the area to always preach peace and unity to their followers to avert any break down of law and order. (NAN)
