Keffi (Nasarawa State), Jan. 9, 2017 (NAN) Parents have been advised to educate and instil proper upbringing in their children for a better society.
Associate Prof. Francis Akawu of the Department of Economics, Nasarawa State University, gave the advice in an interview with News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Keffi on Monday,
Akawu said education was the bedrock of every society, hence the need for parents to make it top priority for their children.
He added that the development of any society was dependent on the quality of education given to children.
He also appealed to youths to carry on with their educational pursuit with the seriousness it deserved.
“It is the lead way to success in life and a route to escape from poverty.’’
He enjoined Nigerians to be law abiding, respect constituted authority and live in peace for the overall development of the country. (NAN)
