Abuja, March 1, 2017 (NAN) The Defence and Police Officers’ Wives Association (DEPOWA) has donated foodstuff and other items to the FCT School for the Handicapped Children to alleviate their sufferings.

The President of the Organisation, Mrs Omobolanle Olonisakin, while donating the items on Wednesday, said the gesture would ease the children’s hardships.

Mrs Olonisakin said that the visit was also to identify with the children and management of the school.

“We are here to show you love and provide some humanitarian gifts as a token and support to the management of this school.

“We are also here to appreciate the founders of this school for caring for the children,” she said.

Olonisakin urged Nigerians to assist the needy, adding,“every effort count, just do something to make a difference in peoples’ lives”.

The Head Teacher of the School, Mrs Victoria Agah, thanked the organisation for the donation and promised to make judicious use of the items.

The items donated include: bags of rice, toiletries, clothing and bedding. (NAN)
