Burutu (Delta), Dec. 30, 2016 (NAN) Daniel Yingi, member representing Burutu I constituency in Delta House of Assembly, has assured the people of his constituency of enhanced quality of life in 2017.
Yingi, who chairs the House Committee on Oil and Gas, gave the assurance on Friday in Burutu while briefing his constituents and community leaders on his activities in the legislature.
He said that constant consultations with the leaders of the various wards that make up the constituency had assisted him in articulating the challenges faced by the people.
He listed some of the challenges to include lack of basic infrastructure, unemployment and poverty.
Yingi expressed optimism that with the expected rise in price of crude oil which would result to increased revenue for the state, the 2017 fiscal year would bring better tidings for the people of the state.
The lawmaker assured that all ongoing projects across communities in Burutu I constituency would be completed.
He said that contracts for the construction of projects that would add value to the life of the people of the constituency would be awarded by the government.
He said that lack of rural road network was being addressed by the state government with the construction of a 2km concrete pavement along Edegbene road in Burutu Local Government Areas.
He said that he was intensifying efforts to ensure the completion of the Egbo-Ayekoromo bridge to fast track the integration of communities in the constituency.
Responding on behalf of the constituents, Mr Emmanuel Agbatugba, PDP chairman in Delta South Senatorial district, commended Yingi for his determination to promote good governance and development in Burutu I constituency.
He assured the legislator that the people of the constituency would give him the desired support. (NAN)
