Ilorin, April 8, 2017 (NAN) A Consultant Engineer, Mr Bashir Lawal, on Saturday attributed the prevailing economic crisis in the country to dearth of skilled manpower to manage and utilise the country’s available resources.
Lawal, the Managing Director of BAL Engineering Construction Company, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ilorin that Nigerians “ must go back to their roots for the country to regain its lost glory.’’
He said there was need to harness the country’s manpower resources to meet the country’s needs in a manner that would be positive and impactful.
Lawal also stressed the need for Nigerians to embrace the cultural values and norms of their society rather than imitating borrowed norms and values.
“Our cultural values have been eroded and there is need to revive them.
“Traditional rulers as well as community and religious leaders should collaborate to bring back the lost glory of our cultural values, ‘’ he said.
He also urged Nigerians to support government in promoting good governance.(NAN)
