Pakyen, 38, who lives in Durumi Estate, FCT, is standing trial on one-count charge of theft.
The Prosecutor, Joshua Ayanna, told the court that Danladi Abubakar reported the matter at Garki police station, Abuja, on Nov. 23.

went to the estate on Nov. 23 “displaced all security guards on duty and dishonestly carted away electric cables there.”
The prosecutor added that the cables, valued at N550,000, were kept in an uncompleted building in custody of the security guards in the estate.
However, the defendant, who pleaded not guilty to the charge, was slammed with
N600,000 bail with one surety in like sum.
Kagarko also ordered that the surety must reside within the jurisdiction of the court and
