Modakeke (Osun), Dec. 15, 2017 (NAN) An Osun Magistrates’ Court sitting in Modakeke, on Friday, remanded two staff of a company, Adijat Adeyemi and Serifu Yekinni for alleged N3.4 million theft.
Adeyemi, 24 and Yekinni, 32, are facing a two-count charge of conspiracy and stealing.
They, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Magistrate Bose Awosan, who refused to grant the accused bail, however, asked their defence counsel, Mr Ola Ibrahim to come with a formal application for the consideration of their bail.
Awosan ordered the remand of the accused in prison, pending the consideration of their bail application.
Earlier, the Police Prosecutor, Sgt. Ona Glory, had told the court that the accused committed the offence between July and September, 2017 at Dammy Global Ltd, Mayfair, Modakeke-Ife.
Glory alleged that the accused conspired with each other to steal more than N3.4m, property of Dammy Global Limited.
He said that the offence contravened Sections 383, 390 (9) and 516 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Osun, 2002.
The magistrate adjourned the case to Dec. 18 for hearing. (NAN)
