Remands

Ile-Ife (Osun), Feb. 22, 2017 (NAN) An Osun Magistrate’s Court in Ile-Ife on Wednesday remanded four persons; Kabiru Anibi, 28; Waheed Oladipupo, 29; Ojo Adeyemi, 28 and Rasaki Ogunsola, 30 in prison over alleged possession of fire arms.
The Prosecutor, Insp. Elisha Olusegun, told the court that the accused committed the offences on Feb. 4, around 02:40 a.m., at a Black spot in Oduduwa Str., Ile-Ife.
Olusegun said that the accused persons conspired to commit felony through dealings in arms.
He alleged that Anibi was dealing in the sale and transfer of the locally made pistols without license or authority.
According to him, Oladipupo, Adeyemi and Ogunsola unlawfully possess one locally made pistol each without license or authority.
The court did not take the pleas of the accused persons.
The Magistrate, Olalekan Ijiyode, asked the defence counsel, Mr Alaba Awoseemo, to file formal application for bail.
Meanwhile, Ijiyode ordered the remand of the accused in Ile-Ife prison until March 28 for consideration of bail. (NAN)
