Abuja, Jan. 17, 2018 (NAN) An FCT High Court, Gudu, on Wednesday ordered the remand of two men, Mohammed Aliyu,42, and Isiaka Abubakar,33, over alleged N15 million fraud.
The defendants, both staff of Manipat Holdings Ltd, were docked on a 19-count charge, bordering on criminal breach of trust, forgery and fraud.
The two defendants, however, denied committing the offences.
The judge, Justice Adebokula Banjoko, refused the oral application for bail made by the defence counsel, Daniel Anele, and ordered their remand in prison.
The prosecutor, Mr Patrick Omah, had told the court that sometime in February and September, 2017, while in the employment of Manipat Holdings Ltd, conspired and stole N15million.
The prosecutor said that the crime was committed through forging of company’s documents.
The judge adjourned the case until Feb. 12 for hearing. (NAN)
