Abuja, Jan. 17, 2017(NAN) The National Industrial Court in Abuja has fixed Feb.16 for hearing in a case instituted by Mr Simon Emmanuel challenging his alleged unlawful termination of appointment by the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) in 2015.
Emmanuel was a senior staff of FRSC before his alleged sack by the commission.
The claimant is praying the court to declare the alleged termination of his appointment from the service of the FRSC as unlawful.
He is also asking the court to declare that his alleged termination of service did not follow due process.
The aggrieved officer has further prayed the court to reinstate him and order the commission to pay him all salaries and other benefits in arrears from 2015.
At the resumed hearing on Tuesday, the claimant’s counsel, Mr Efe Daniel, told the court that the respondent had been served with the claimant’s reliefs.
The respondent’s counsel, Ms Simbia Alabi, who corroborated Daniel’s submission, said that the respondent had been duly served.
“My Lord, we have been served and we are going to file our processes,” she said.
Counsel to the claimant did not oppose the motion.
Justice Edith Agbakoba, subsequently, adjourned the case until Feb.16 for further mention. (NAN)
