Lagos, May 9, 2018 (NAN) The Chairman, Aiyepe Ijebu Muslim Community, Alhaji Musbau Oyefeso, has urged the Federal Government to encourage industrialists to create more jobs for Nigerian youths.

Oyefeso made this plea in an interview with the News of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos on Wednesday.

According to him, the only way the Federal Government can solve youth restiveness and the security challenges in the country is to create massive employment to engage youths.

“When people are able to get jobs, they will get paid and will not commit crimes, and there will not be insecurity; if youths are employed, there will be political stability.

“Government should continue with its social investment programme, so that it can also continue to pay stipends to beneficiaries.

“Government should continue with moral teachings through religious societies in order to inculcate moral values in the lives of youths,” Oyefeso said.

He said integrity, transparency and hard work should be the watchdog of the Nigerian youth.

Oyefeso lauded the Federal Government for embarking on road projects in the six geo-political zones of the country as well as improving on power supply from 2,000 to 7,000 megawatts.

He said government had improved on the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and shored up the external reserves to 47 billion dollars.

Oyefeso, however, urged government to focus more attention on agricultural production and encourage industrialists in order to reduce unemployment in the country. (NAN)
