CMD to organise 132 courses in 2018

Abuja, Feb. 4, 2018 (NAN) The Centre for Management Development (CMD) plans to organise no fewer than 132 short courses for government and private sector officials in 2018 across the country.
CMD, a parastatal agency of the Ministry of Budget and National Planning, was established to drive the vision, plans and training programmes of Federal Government.
The details of the programmes is contained in an “Annual Training Programmes Calendar for 2018’’obtained by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja.
According to the calendar, the programmes will be carried out in areas of management, finance, communication, business and research as well as information management.
The calendar stated that the courses would be organised in Lagos, Abuja, Owerri, kano, Uyo, Gombe and Markurdi.
A breakdown of the programme shows that four will be organised in Accreditation and Quality Assurance Programme, two in Quality Assurance Programmes and 33 courses in management programmes.
The calendar stated that the centre would conduct 16 programmes in Finance, Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Programmes, 23 in Economic Management Programmes-Macro and 21 in Entrepreneurship and Business Development Programmes.
It stated that six courses would be organised in Research Programmes, seven in Consulting Programmes, 13 in Information, Communication Technology Programmes and three in Information Management Programmes.
According to the calendar, the centre will also be organising four conferences for trainers, researchers, managers and entrepreneurs in the year.
CMD is the apex management regulatory agency responsible for the country’s human and capital development. (NAN)
