Buhari

Ilorin, Feb. 10, 2017 (NAN) An Ilorin based cleric, Malam Suleiman Bello has urged Nigerians to pray for President Muhammadu Buhari’s wellbeing and stop peddling rumours of his death.
Bello made the call on Friday during a sermon at the Jumat prayer in Markaz Al Adabiy Mosque.
He said that all Nigerians needed now was to help the president get better by praying for him instead of presuming him dead, while still alive.
“It is high time we started wishing our leaders well because, whatever affects them affects us too directly or indirectly.
“And for President Buhari, he needs sound health to continue the reformation work he has started in this country, so we shouldn’t even be praying for his death.
`We should rather pray for him to come back and meet us in peace and good health,’’ Bello said.
He, however, noted that though, death was a debt to be paid by everyone, no one dies before the appointed time.
“Although, we will all die some day, no one will die before his or her time, so, no amount of backsliding can kill any human.
“So we should shun all hate speeches and allow Allah’s will to prevail,’’ Bello said.
The cleric stated that Nigerians irrespective of their fate should channel their energy toward actions that would improve the economy of the country.
“It is a pity that we like bothering ourselves with issues that are beyond our control and leaving the ones we should treat.
“Let us look for a way to get out of this recession we are in by getting involved in things that will improve our economic situation.
“So that we will complement what the government is doing and also improve on our lives,’’ Bello said. (NAN)
