By Sunday John
Lafia, Aug. 25, 2018 (NAN) Rev. Daniel Alexander of First Baptist Church Lafia, has admonished couples to invest in love as it is the only way to have a happy married life.
Alexanderspoke spoke on Saturday in Lafia, while presiding over the wedding of Olukayode Babalola, a News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) staff and Olajumoke Oyelade, a reporter with Nasarawa Broadcasting Service (NBS).
According to him, a lot of marriages have crashed and are crashing due to misplaced priorities by the couples.
He explained that it was what a man sowed that he or she would reap, hence couples should sow love in order to reap love.
The cleric read from the Holy Bible, the book of Genesis chapter 2, verse 18, which said “it is not good for man to be alone, I will make him a help mate”.
He also urged wives to be submissive to their husbands and advised the husbands to love their wives in accordance with God’s directives.
The cleric also used the occasion to call on Nigerians to seek the face of God for his intervention in the crisis and attacks going on in the country.
Alexander also advised the perpetrators of all kinds of evils in the country to desist or face the wrath of God.
Speaking to NAN shortly after the church service, the couple expressed joy, saying the marriage was a fulfillment of their dream.
“We pray for God’s wisdom as we begin a new life together today.’’ (NAN)
