Assistance
By David Adeoye
Ibadan, Feb. 26, 2017(NAN) Rev.Emmanuel Adeniyi of the Banner of Christ Church (BCC), Adegbayi-Ibadan, has called on Christians to render assistance to the less privileged in the society.
Adeniyi, who made the call during his Sunday sermon, said providing for the needy should be paramount in the mind of every Christian.
He said Christianity entailed love for neighbours , adding that ”loving one’s neighbour should include provision for those in need.’’
“Though the economic hardship facing every household has made it difficult for people to cater for the immediate family, but we should make it a duty to give the less privileged from the little we have,’’ he said.
The religious leader further called on wealthy Christians and organisations to save those whose standard of living had worsened due to the economic hardship in the nation.
“Wealth is from God use it to assist those that need your help; we came to this world naked and shall go back empty.’’
Adeniyi also urged Nigerians not to relent in fervent prayer for the nation, assuring that prayers would redeem the country.(NAN)
