Ilorin, Nov 6, 2017 (NAN) Prof. Yusuf Badmas, the Imam of Al-Hilalih Mosque in Ilorin has called on  Muslims to always show kindness to their  aged parents at all times in order to attract blessings from Allah.

Badmas made the call in Ilorin on Monday while speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

According to him, great rewards await, in this world and the hereafter, those who do not neglect their parents.

He noted that many children had been failing, these days, in their responsibility toward their aged parents.

Badmas said believers must ensure the well-being of those whom through they came through to the world, adding that children should be made to realise the importance of their parents at tender age.

He said that parents had laboured to cater for their children; hence their efforts should be reciprocated by such children.

The Imam said that Muslims should pray for their parents whether such parents were alive or dead.

He pointed out that children who did not take care of their parents till they passed on to the world beyond would face the wrath of Allah.

“Children should be obedient to their parents and ensure that they are happy at all times, so that they can receive blessings from Allah,” he said. (NAN)
