Okemesi (Ekiti State), Jan. 27, 2018 (NAN) A cleric, Rev. Emmanuel Aribasoye, on Saturday in Okemesi, Ekiti, admonished the children of the late Deacon Moses Folayan to live an exemplary life.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Aribasoye gave the admonition while delivering a sermon entitled, ” Living a holy life, ” at the burial ceremony of the late Folayan.
NAN reports that the deceased is the father of the Permanent Secretary, Common Services, Office of the Head of Service of the Federation, Mr Ayodele Folayan.
He urged Christians, who wish to rise in eternal life with Jesus Christ on the resurrection day, to be ready to obey his commandments.
The clergy man admonished the children of the deceased and other family members not be weary nor sad because “ their father had gone to rest in the bosom of God.’’
” If you are to die today, can you make it to heaven? This is the question that I want all of you to be asking yourselves whenever you are still alive.
” Our Late father, Deacon Moses Folayan, has gone to rest in the bosom of God and during his life time, he lived an exemplary and a holy life because I knew him as an upright person.
” Therefore, I want all the children and family members to emulate his good life because heaven is real and hell is also real, but I believe our father has gone to rest in heaven for his meritorious services to God and humanity.
“Living a good life is different from having a good house, cars and children, but living a good life is to build your life on Christ Jesus and the only of hope that you all have to enter to external glory is to surrender your lives to God,” he said.
NAN reports that the late Folayan was a former Vice Principal and life patron of Okemesi Development Union.
NAN also reports that some of the Permanent Secretaries present at the occasion were Mrs Didi Walson-Jack, Service Welfare, Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation as well as Ndubuisi Osuji, Policies and Strategies, and Mr Leon Aliboh, Special Duties. (NAN)
