Uniform
Dutse, Feb 9, 2017 (NAN) A Civil Society Organisation, Popular Theatre and Health Education Association, in collaboration with Save the Children of DFID, had distributed 326 sets of uniforms to pupils in primary schools in three communities of Jigawa.
The State Coordinator of the association, Malam Lawal Ahmad disclosed this while speaking with News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Dutse.
Ahmad said that 168 pupils in Auyo and 158 pupils in Gwaram Local Government areas benefited from the gesture.
He said that the association was working in collaboration with development partner in six communities as well as in three selected local government areas.
The Coordinator noted that the gesture had improved the enrollment of children in schools in those communities.
He disclosed that very soon, another sets of uniforms would be distributed to pupils in more communities.
He said that apart from the school uniforms, the association had been assisting local communities in the areas health, economic empowerment as well as psycho-social support for children. (NAN)
