Minna, April 2, 2017 ( NAN) Bishop Martins Uzuokwu of the Catholic Diocese of Minna has called on Nigerians to show more love to one another and leave in peace irrespective of religious, tribal and political differences.
Uzuokwu made the call in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday in Minna.
He said that people should be sincere and steadfast in their relationships with one another, adding that such virtues would give them victory during trials and temptations.
“We must be seen as demonstrating true love to one another to enable God shower His blessings on us.’’
Uzuokwu also called on Nigerians to remain resolute and firm on the word of God.
The bishop said that adhering to the teachings of Christ would make them shun evil and social vices.
“There is also the urgent need for all believers to pray fervently for God to guide our leaders in order not to fall prey to Satan’s wiles,’’ he said.
Also, he admonished the people to always speak the truth, stand by it, and be sincere and honest while dealing with fellow human beings; irrespective of their religious differences.
He said that the desire of all Christians should be to confess Christ before men, support the weak in spirit, abstain from evil and show faithfulness to God. (NAN)
