Businessman docked over alleged breach of trust

Makurdi, Nov. 2, 2016 (NAN) A 39-year-old businessman, Aloy Okpale, was on Wednesday arraigned in a Makurdi Magistrates’ Court on charges bordering on breach of trust and misappropriation.
The prosecutor, Cpl. Owochio Adama told the court that the case was reported by one Kelvin Idikwu at ‘B’ Division Police Station, Makurdi on Oct. 16, 2016.
The complainant reported that early 2015, he entrusted N148, 000 to the accused person to supply him building materials.
He said that the accused did not supply the materials, but converted the money to his personal use.
The accused person pleaded not guilty to the offences levelled against him.
The Magistrate, Mrs Franca Yuwa, granted the accused person bail in the sum of N100,000 with a surety in like sum and adjourned the case till Dec. 1, 2016 for further mention. (NAN)
