Benin, Feb. 2018(NAN) An 18-year -old boy, Babale Mohammed, was on Tuesday arraigned before an Oredo Magistrate Court in Benin for allegedly breaking into the house of one Ogbewi Michael.
The accused was said to have committed the offence on March 13 at Plot 1, Ogbewi Avenue, Ugiokhuen Quarters, Benin City.
The offence is punishable under Section 411 of the Criminal Code, Cap 48, Vol. II, Laws of the defunct Bendel State of Nigeria 1976 as applicable to Edo State.
Mohammed, who was arraigned on one-count charge before Magistrate M. O. Ojo, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
He was granted bail in the sum of N50, 000 with one surety in like sum who must be a resident of the jurisdiction.
The Prosecutor, Mr David Akhigbe, did not object to the bail as he said it was a bail able offence.
The magistrate subsequently adjourned the case until March 3 for hearing. (NAN)
