Minna, March 13, 2017 ( NAN) The Bida Local Government of Niger said on Monday that it had set a N100 million revenue target for this year.
Alhaji Mohammed Badugu,Chairman of the council, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Minna that revenues to be realised would be used to execute capital projects that would enhance the living condition of the people.
He explained that the council had identified various means of ensuring proper collection of the revenues.
” We have already re-organised the revenue department and given it a specific instruction on how to ensure all revenues are paid to our council treasury,” he said.
He called for public support with the revenue collectors to meet the target.
The chairman assured residents that money realised would be used to provide services to the people.
He warned revenue collectors against diversion of public funds and to ensure that all revenues collected were paid into the treasury. (NAN)
